You've read the welcome/intro but you want more info about MTZFood & it's creators?

Not sure there is more. I love food. I love deals. I love Martinez and the area we live in. This little project started with just the calendar of known deals. Then I felt we needed a listing of all food/beverage shops here in MTZ, if they were open/closed.... so the listing came about. Right at the time I was starting this site, the City came out with their list of open restaurants, that's been my starting point. Over time some other places have opened and some closed. Doing my best to keep up to date so please feel free to let me know any updates. 

The end goal? Sort of a white pages (if you even know what that means) of local eats, links to their info... perhaps white pages meets yelp, or not. Above all, I do want deals posted, after all I am quite frugal.

While I prefer to keep to local, small, mom-pop type restaurants I'm also posting about chains. Chains can often post meal deals that perhaps some with tighter budgets can take better advantage of. Beside, these places also employ local folks. I've also seen many posting on non-storefront operations. I'll do my best to post those as well so send your info.
